Love is Dead es el álbum de estudio debut de la artista Kerli. Fue lanzado el 8 de julio de 2008 por Island Records.

El álbum recibió elogios de la crítica, y los críticos elogiaron su singularidad y composición, al tiempo que elogiaron la voz de Kerli. El álbum alcanzó el número 2 en la lista de álbumes Heatseekers en Estados Unidos. También alcanzó el número 126 en el Billboard 200 en los Estados Unidos.

Creación

Kerli comenzó a escribir para su álbum debut a la edad de 14 años, Kerli, despues de haber tenido dos contratos fallidos con Universal Republic Records y Stolen Transmission, pasó dos años en Suecia escribiendo música con otros escritores a pedido de una editorial sueca que se interesó por ella. Más tarde llamó la atención de Island Records y consiguió una audición con LA Reid, quien la firmó a la discografica.

Kerli cita su educación en un hogar abusivo como una de las principales influencias para el álbum:

"Este es el lugar que creé para escapar y quiero compartirlo con la gente ahora".

• Love is Dead fue lanzado como el primer sencillo promocional del álbum.
• Walking on Air fue lanzado como el primer sencillo del álbum, fue la única canción que logro entrar a los tablones de música y podría considerarse uno de los éxitos de Kerli.
• Creepshow fue lanzado como el segundo y ultimo sencillo promocional del álbum.
• The Creationist fue lanzado como el segundo y ultimo sencillo del álbum. Esta versión incluye vocales del cantante italiano Cesare Cremonini.
